Research skills and Methods - 5 ECTS
This course provides means on how to define, plan and carry out a project at an academic level. The project is intended to be the MasterĀ“s thesis, but the skills you learn could be used for any academic report. The course is best suited to be run in close relation or even parallel to the progress of the thesis project. It is divided into several parts involving both theoretical lectures and practical exercises. Library Knowledge presents how to find relevant books and journals, as being a fundamental part of any academic report. Scientific Theories and Scientific Methods introduce general theories, and also give the participant an opportunity to focus on methods relevant to his/her own research area. Argument Theory involves basic structures of arguments that are discussed and exemplified.
